BREMEN, GERMANY (August 4, 2020)
Valispace obtained another round of investment led by Berlin-based early-stage investor JOIN Capital in April 2020. The investment was awarded based on the company’s business model and response to the increasing need for engineering collaboration solutions for remote working amidst the COVID-19 crisis, amongst many other factors.
The additional investment has allowed the company to expand their software to go beyond the management of design specifications, automation of requirements management, self-updating documentation while acting as a single source of truth for teams to collaborate on. The test module is the first, in a series of expansions to come, providing aerospace hardware manufacturers and inspectors with the capability to verify and validate their design in one central platform, in-house.
The module enables users to track and store testing specifications, procedures, and the resulting data. Teams can then link this data to requirements and verifications, to show compliance.
“We built verification and validation directly into the software to help our customers stay agile in the new space commercial industry. By streamlining and retaining ownership of test management, our customers have a competitive advantage over their competitors who face delays due to challenges when working in distributed engineering teams resulting from the pandemic,”
says Louise Lindblad, COO and co-founder of Valispace.
With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, many space systems manufacturers found themselves in a digital transition, looking to shift to remote working environments rapidly. The testing capability, released in July 2020 was built to support these organizations in adapting to the new telework culture. The upcoming expansions will continue to address typical obstacles in seamless end-to-end development, so the smallsat industry can continue to adapt and thrive.
You’re invited to join Valispace’s Advanced workshop on Lean Requirements, Verification, and Test-Management for Small Satellites (Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 9:00AM MDT)
Stefan Siarov, Valispace’s in-house systems engineer will moderate a roundtable talk together with CEO, Marco Witzmann, covering Lean Requirements Engineering. Witzmann will leverage experience gained from his time working at OHB Bremen on Meteosat Third Generation (MTG), and all teams who have successfully adopted agile methodology using Valispace.
